You won’t just hear about our work, you’ll experience it

After an introduction to the Institute, and the ways we work, you’ll take part in a live Role Analysis based on a case study.

Role Analysis looks at the dynamic interplay between the person, the authority they carry and the expectations of their role, within their context at work.

In the session, we will look at how feelings, group dynamics and organisational pressures affect how a person performs in their role. We will invite one participant to volunteer to present a dilemma at work, with a small group offering responses and associations.

What will this session be like?

This session will offer you a space to think about roles and we hope you’ll gain ideas and insights - you can also ask questions.

Join in the Role Analysis or just listen: this is a taste of Tavistock approaches after a quick guide to our workshops and training programmes.

Who is this session for?

Anyone new to the Institute’s work.

For leaders, managers, consultants, coaches, practitioners and anyone curious about the human side of organisations.

No prior knowledge needed.

What does the Tavistock Institute do?

For nearly 80 years, the Institute has drawn on social science, psychoanalytic thinking and the arts to help people and organisations make sense of what is really going on beneath-the-surface at work, in order to build understanding, resilience and capacity.

We would love to see you at this free session, and please pass this invitation on to colleagues who might be interested too.
