Evaluation of New Deal for Lone Parents: Extension to Eligibility

The Tavistock Institute conducted an evaluation of the participation of the new groups in the programme for the Department of Work & Pensions.

Context

The primary focus was to identify the characteristics and experiences of the new groups, through in-depth interviews and to provide some comparison with traditional lone parents in NDLP. The interviews were discussion-based and respondent-led in order to encourage reflective commentaries and to understand the perspectives and priorities of lone parents themselves.
