Dynamics in Human-AI Teams is a new consulting package to build the capacity of work teams to think, relate and make decisions together within environments increasingly mediated by AI.

The package brings together Tavistock sociotechnical consulting, the application of systems psychodynamics and the innovative Co-Intelligence platform developed by tech start-up Elevate4.

Over 12 weeks, participating teams will gain clarity about how roles are reshaped and authority shifts when teams interact in hybrid environments.

Our goal is to build your relational readiness and resilience in the context of AI and remote work; and to increase your productivity and critical judgement. We want to enable your AI integrations to strengthen your team, rather than quietly replace the decision-making of your human team members, burn people out, or create dependency.

The offer

Dynamics in Human–AI Teams is an online pathway to help teams build collective capacity to notice, decide, and take responsibility together for well-being and productivity.

What you'll gain

Decision clarity: A visible map of how responsibility, authority and AI influence are distributed in real work.

Internal capability: Trained team members able to continue the practice independently.

Behavioural shift: Observable changes in meetings, decisions and collaboration patterns.

12 weeks to install the capacity to think and decide together

Orient: A whole-system diagnostic of how your team is actually working together in real time. Using Elevate4’s Digital Work Experience index™, we map digital work environments across four dimensions: Witness, Sense, Relate, and Shape. This establishes a shared baseline of how authority, responsibility and collective thinking are currently distributed.

Practice: Teams use Elevate4’s Co-Intelligence platform to capture moments from everyday work, a message that stalls, a meeting that drains, a decision that keeps drifting, an interaction with AI that quietly takes over. Embedded into existing rhythms through calendar integration, these moments are treated not as feedback or performance data, but as lived experience. Individual reflections remain private by design; only aggregated patterns are made visible to the team.

Integrate: Six facilitated sessions, co-facilitated by the Tavistock Institute and Elevate4, create a reflective and experiential space to work with what the data is revealing. Internal Champions are trained to read the insights, hold reflection spaces, and design micro-experiments that send signals into the work system.

Embed: Teams consolidate what has shifted. Internal Champions take ownership of the practice. Capacity is handed over, not lost when the programme ends.

Outcomes for your team

We will help you balance the social and technical aspects of work in your team.

  • You’ll learn to notice and develop the team’s readiness to respond to relational risks (moral stress, AI anxiety, siloing, withdrawal, AI failures) as they occur in the workplace;
  • You’ll develop resilience to navigate complex and turbulent work environments and stay with discomfort and manage boundaries by evaluating and determining the role of AI in decision-making;
  • Teams develop a shared language for digital and AI-mediated work to maintain collective thinking capacity;
  • You’ll enhance your ability to analyse live relational patterns and dynamics for business strategy and to remain present in the face of continuous change.

The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations & Elevate4

Dynamics in Human-AI Teams is a new partnership between the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations and tech start-up Elevate4. The partnership brings together 79 years of Tavistock Institute research on how people and technology interact in the workplace with Elevate4’s Co-Intelligence platform and innovative application of systems psychodynamics.

The Co-Intelligence platform, developed by Elevate4, provides a new form of containment that enables teams to evidence and understand their dynamics – hidden assumptions, beliefs and behaviours. It offers a shared infrastructure, grounded in systems psychodynamics, to shift work patterns and productivity levels from overwhelm to optimal fit.

When organisations introduce new technologies in workplaces, they are not simply adding tools.

AI Agents, Chatbots, Vibe Coding Apps and MMLs are reshaping how people work together, communicate and feel about their jobs.

In the face of the promises and pressures of AI integration in workflows, teams can lose their capacity to think together and take strategic decisions.

Who this is for?

The programme is open to teams from all sectors working in digitally mediated environments – including fintech, tech, public sector, and commercial organisations.

We welcome interest from senior leaders, managers, founders, and HR teams.

We especially welcome applications from small and medium size organisations, who feel the strain of this new reality of work and are willing to evolve, not just adapt.

Pricing

This package is priced at £12,000 for teams of 8-12; £16,000 for teams of 13-20; £21,000 for teams of 20+.
