Organisations of various sizes are increasingly asking for coaching support for various teams. It is important, therefore, for coaches to understand the challenges and complexities of working with the full range of teams that now exist within the many systems they may encounter.

This advanced programme allows coaches to evolve, work with greater impact across the whole system, and explore complex dynamics in different types of teams.

Who is this programme for?

The Certificate in Team Coaching is designed for experienced (preferably certified) coaches and consultants who wish to develop their practice in coaching teams. A certification from the TIHR is not a prerequisite, and we are open to accepting diverse accreditation.

The value of taking the Advanced Professional Development Programme: Certificate in Team Coaching

This 3-day programme is an opportunity to deepen the learning about teams and acquire an identity as a team coach.

During the programme, we will work towards making sense of the lived experience both within the team, and outside it. We will consider the role of the Team in its wider systemic context, which will allow us to explore what is unknown and what is unspoken in relation to team behaviour.

Using the Tavistock approach rooted in experiential learning and considering the concept of the group-as-a-whole, this programme provides opportunities to explore strategies for working with teams, and raising awareness to Self and others.

Of essential importance in the Tavistock development programmes is using the Self as instrument for learning and hence we will be deep diving into the Self as part of this programme’s experiential learning. This deep dive into the Self offers further insight into the mirroring/shifting paradigms and parallel processes that occur.

You said we’re a team. One person struggles, we all struggle. One person triumphs, we all triumph.

Jason Lyle, Coach Carter

Types of teams we will explore

Intact teams

Leadership teams

Administrative teams, amongst others.
