Impact of Tavistock group relations and individual consultation on my work as a leader, practitioner and thinker
Join a panel discussion convened by TIHR’s Camilla Child. Ralph Woolf, Olya Khaleelee and Gilles Amado – talking about the impact of Tavistock thought, group relations, systems psychodynamics and individual consultation on their work. They will share recollections of their working relationships with the early and later Tavistock pioneers from the late 1960s through to the 2000s.

From ‘Authority & Leadership’ to Identities & Cultures in Violent Conflict
“The unquestionable and undeniable importance of each group doing its work in the presence of the relevant other.” Israeli psychoanalysts Mira Erlich-Ginor and Shmuel Erlich present a narrative of the insights learned in developing a Group Relations model to work on German-Israeli relatedness, its different evolutions and potential to influence practice.

Festival Social Dreaming
Social Dreaming take place daily in the Reading Room, an opportunity to link private dreams to the archive, festival and current world events and bring thoughts and reflections from these sessions to the rest of the festival.

Time Travelling Through the Tavistock Archives
Alice White will retrace the steps of her PhD research on Second World War officer selection and look forward to future research by bringing attention to new and unresearched material as the potential tip of the archival iceberg.

Testing Times: What Did it Take to be a War Officer in WWII?
Put on your moustache and get put through your paces as War Officers were in the 1940s by Tavistock social scientists. We reflect on questions of the influence of applied psychology in the modern era, the politics of such tests now and then, but most of all we see whether you have what it takes to make officer!

Living on a Prayer: Worship Posture as a Model for Societal Cohesion
Rabbi Naftali Brawer brings a multi-disciplinary presentation drawing on sociology, philosophy and mysticism to his presentation which draws on the various postures of Jewish prayer as conceptual models and introducing a third way that recognises the uniqueness of the individual while harnessing this to a shared sense of purpose with others.
