Documenting the Archive: Film Footage From Up River

This video is a record of the early project, when we began to uncover and make sense of the archival material in its then distant and inaccessible location: a large storage facility on the edge of the river Thames in Woolwich. It shows the excitement emerging among the project team and other members of TIHR staff as they began to appraise the material and in this work stumbled upon some notable gems. This particular footage focuses on A.K Rice field notebooks and his work on the Calico Mills study, Ahmedabad, India.
