The voice is one of our most valuable tools for communicating with one another. Groups and organisations are often influenced by the voices that can most clearly be heard.
As newborn babies, most of us are born equipped with the physiology and innate ability to make our voices heard, and to express our most visceral emotions through our voices. Throughout our lives, social convention and conditioning diminish this natural ability.
Through uniquely person-centred voice work, I work with individuals and groups to help explore new ways of using the voice; to return to their organismic voice; to express themselves to the fullest; and to learn to co-operate and communicate in novel yet authentic ways.
Blending music, sound, and creativity, I help groups to explore the idiosyncratic complexities of their organisational lives.
I do this by designing and delivering voice workshops tailored to the organisation’s specific culture and need. My work with teams within the NHS, for example, allowed them to explore the concept of location by integrating language already established within their working life into vocal and performing arts based exercises and song.
