Martin Brigham
Dr Martin Brigham joined the TIHR as a trustee in June 2023. He has long admired the ground-breaking work and interdisciplinary applied research at TIHR and looks forward to supporting the institute’s sustainability, creativity and community. Martin is an academic at Lancaster University Management School, where he manages development and governance, contributes to teaching and pedagogical design, and provides oversight and policy for an executive masters at five business schools around the world. He has taught and tutored senior managers and executives, including Fortune 500 companies, national and global public sector institutions, multinationals, not-for-profits, SMEs and family business entrepreneurs over the last 10 years. He also has interdisciplinary research expertise in studies of management and organisations and current research interests focus on reflective management education and executive development, the cultural-history of action learning, talk and silence in business meetings, and non-market thinking for sustainability. Martin lives in Lancaster with his wife and teenage children and enjoys walking and canoeing especially in the Lake District.
