Lucian J. Hudson is an experienced board chair, corporate leader and strategic communications specialist.

Lucian has been Chair of the Council of the Tavistock Institute since 2021. He was also Chair of Council between 2003 and 2006, since then becoming a Tavistock Institute trained consultant and coach. He is Chair of Earthwatch Europe and past Chair of Liberal Judaism. He was for 17 years a journalist, editor and executive producer with BBC and ITV. Since 2000 Lucian has served as Director of Communications in seven large and complex organisations, including the University of Oxford, The Open University and Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He is Director of Advancement, Marketing and Communications, Durham University. He is also Professor-in-Practice (Leadership and Organisations) at Durham University Business School.
